Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup fresh yuzu juice squeezed from about 5-6 yuzu fruits
  • 1 cup granulated sugar adjust based on sweetness preference
  • 2 cups ice cubes for blending
  • 1 cup water for dilution
  • 1 teaspoon yuzu zest freshly grated
  • 1 tablespoon honey optional for added sweetness
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt to enhance flavor
  • 2 tablespoons fresh mint leaves for garnish

Instructions
 

  • In a blender, combine the fresh yuzu juice, granulated sugar, and water. Blend until the sugar is completely dissolved.
  • Add the ice cubes to the blender and blend on high until the mixture is smooth and slushy in texture, about 1-2 minutes.
  • Taste the slushie and adjust sweetness by adding honey if desired, then blend again briefly to mix.
  • Pour the yuzu slushie into chilled glasses and garnish with fresh mint leaves and a sprinkle of yuzu zest.

Tip 1: Use ripe yuzu for the best flavor and aroma.
Tip 2: Slushies can be made ahead of time and stored in the freezer, just re-blend before serving.
