Ingredients

1 lb ground beef (80/20 blend for juiciness)

1 tsp smoked paprika

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 tsp black pepper

1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce

4 slices sharp cheddar cheese

4 brioche burger buns

1 avocado, sliced

1 cup arugula

1/2 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

1/4 cup mayonnaise

1 tbsp Dijon mustard

1 tbsp lime juice

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Prepare the Patties: In a large bowl, combine ground beef, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix gently until ingredients are just incorporated. Divide mixture into four equal portions and shape into patties, making a small indentation with your thumb in the center of each to prevent puffing during cooking.

Preheat the Grill: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 375°F). Lightly oil the grates to prevent sticking.

Grill the Burgers: Place patties on the grill. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side. Flip and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes. Immediately add a slice of cheddar cheese on top of each patty and close the grill lid to melt the cheese.

Toast the Buns: While the cheese melts, place the brioche buns on the edges of the grill for about 1-2 minutes, until lightly toasted.

Prepare the Sauce: In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, lime juice, and a pinch of salt and pepper until smooth.

Assemble the Burgers: Spread the mayo mixture on the bottom half of each toasted bun. Place the cheese-topped patty on the bun, followed by slices of avocado, a handful of arugula, and halved cherry tomatoes. Top with the other half of the brioche bun.

Serve: Serve immediately with sweet potato fries or a side salad for a perfect backyard meal.
