Ingredients

  • 2 cups ripe mango chunks fresh or frozen
  • 1 cup ice cubes for slushie texture
  • 1/4 cup Tajin seasoning for spiciness
  • 1 cup fresh lime juice about 4-5 limes
  • 2 tablespoons agave syrup to taste
  • 1 cup water adjust for consistency
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt to enhance flavor
  • 1 whole lime wedge for garnish
  • 1 tablespoon additional Tajin for rim garnish

Instructions

  • Start by preparing the mango chunks. If using fresh mango, peel and chop the mango into small pieces. If using frozen mango, measure out the required amount and let it thaw slightly for easier blending.
  • In a blender, combine the ripe mango chunks, ice cubes, Tajin seasoning, fresh lime juice, agave syrup, water, and sea salt. Blend on high until you achieve a smooth and slushy consistency, adding more water if necessary.
  • Taste the slushie and adjust sweetness with more agave syrup or tartness with lime juice as desired. Blend again briefly to incorporate any adjustments.
  • Prepare the serving glasses by running a lime wedge around the rim and dipping it into additional Tajin for a spicy garnish. Pour the slushie into the prepared glasses.
  • Garnish each slushie with a lime wedge on the rim and a sprinkle of Tajin on top for an extra kick. Serve immediately with a straw or spoon.

Notes

Tip 1: For a creamier texture, add a splash of coconut milk while blending.
Tip 2: Slushies can be made ahead of time and stored in the freezer; just blend again before serving.
Variation: Substitute mango with pineapple for a tropical twist.
