Ingredients

2 pounds chicken wings

1/4 cup maple syrup

1/4 cup apple cider

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for heat)

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Apple slices (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with foil or parchment paper for easy cleanup.

Prepare the Wings: Rinse the chicken wings under cold water and pat dry with paper towels. Place them in a large bowl and season with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika.

Mix the Sauce: In a separate bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, apple cider, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, minced garlic, ground cinnamon, and cayenne pepper until well combined.

Marinate the Wings: Pour the sauce over the chicken wings and toss to coat evenly. Let them marinate for at least 30 minutes, or for best results, refrigerate them for 2-4 hours (or overnight).

Arrange on Baking Sheet: After marinating, arrange the chicken wings in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, making sure to pour any remaining marinade over them.

Bake the Wings: Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, turning them halfway through, until they are crispy and caramelized, and a meat thermometer reads 165°F (74°C). For extra crispiness, you can broil them for an additional 2-3 minutes at the end.

Garnish and Serve: Once done, remove the wings from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped parsley and fresh apple slices before serving.
