Ingredients

4 cups Rice Krispies cereal

4 cups mini marshmallows

3 tablespoons unsalted butter

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 teaspoon salt

Pink and white food coloring

Cocoa powder (optional, for dusting)

Edible eyes (optional, for decoration)

Instructions

Prepare the Pan: Lightly grease a large brain-shaped silicone mold with cooking spray or line a baking dish with parchment paper.

Melt the Mixture: In a large saucepan over low heat, melt the butter. Add the mini marshmallows, stirring constantly until completely melted and smooth. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and salt.

Color the Mixture: Divide the melted marshmallow mixture in half. In one half, add a few drops of pink food coloring until you achieve the desired shade. Leave the other half white.

Combine with Rice Krispies: In a large bowl, combine the Rice Krispies cereal with the pink marshmallow mixture. Mix until evenly coated. Repeat the process with the white marshmallow mixture and remaining Rice Krispies.

Layer in Mold: Begin layering the pink Rice Krispies mixture into the bottom of the brain mold, pressing down firmly to create an even base. Then, add the white Rice Krispies mixture on top, pressing down gently to fit.

Set the Brains: Allow the mixture to set at room temperature for about 30 minutes until firm. If using a baking dish, you may need to cool it for longer before cutting shapes.

Unmold and Decorate: Carefully remove the Rice Krispies brains from the mold. If desired, dust with cocoa powder for a spooky effect and add edible eyes for a playful touch.

Serve: Arrange the brains on a platter and serve to impressed guests during your next party or Halloween gathering!
