Ingredients

  • 2 cups freshly squeezed lemon juice about 10-12 lemons
  • 1 cup sugar to sweeten the lemonade
  • 4 cups fermented kombucha plain or flavored kombucha
  • 1 cup filtered water to dilute the mixture
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger grated
  • 1 pinch sea salt to enhance flavor
  • 2 tablespoons honey optional for additional sweetness
  • 1 cup ice cubes for serving
  • lemon slices for garnish

Instructions

  • In a large pitcher, combine the freshly squeezed lemon juice and sugar. Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved to create a lemon syrup.
  • Add the filtered water and grated ginger to the lemon syrup, mixing well to incorporate all ingredients.
  • Slowly pour in the fermented kombucha, stirring gently to combine without losing carbonation.
  • Taste the mixture and add a pinch of sea salt and honey if more sweetness is desired. Mix until well combined.
  • Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the kombucha lemonade over the ice, leaving some space at the top.
  • Garnish each glass with lemon slices for added flavor and presentation.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy the refreshing, tangy taste of your homemade Kombucha Lemonade!

Notes

Tip 1: Adjust the sweetness according to your taste; you can use agave syrup as a vegan alternative.
Tip 2: Store any leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, but consume quickly to enjoy the fizz.
Variation: Add fresh mint leaves for a refreshing twist or experiment with other citrus like lime or orange juice.
