Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups brewed espresso cooled to room temperature
  • 1 cup chocolate syrup for mixing
  • 1 cup milk whole or your choice of milk
  • 1 teaspoon peppermint extract adjust for stronger flavor
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream for whipping
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar for sweetening whipped cream
  • 1/4 cup crushed candy canes for garnish
  • 4 cups ice cubes for serving

Instructions
 

  • Brew the espresso and allow it to cool to room temperature. This can be done in advance to save time.
  • In a large glass or cocktail shaker, combine the cooled espresso, chocolate syrup, milk, and peppermint extract. Stir or shake well until fully mixed.
  • Fill four tall glasses with ice cubes and pour the espresso mixture evenly over the ice.
  • In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream with granulated sugar until soft peaks form. This will be used as a topping.
  • Top each glass of iced peppermint mocha with a generous dollop of whipped cream and sprinkle crushed candy canes on top.
  • Serve immediately with a straw or spoon, enjoying the festive flavors of the holiday season.
