Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups filtered water for brewing matcha
  • 2 tablespoons ceremonial grade matcha powder sifted
  • 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice about 4-6 lemons
  • 1/2 cup agave syrup adjust to taste
  • 1 cup sparkling water for fizziness
  • 1 cup ice cubes for serving
  • 1 lemon lemon slices for garnish
  • 1 sprig fresh mint for garnish

Instructions
 

  • In a small saucepan, bring 2 cups of filtered water to a near boil, then remove from heat and let cool slightly for 1-2 minutes.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together 2 tablespoons of sifted matcha powder with 1/2 cup of the warm water until smooth and frothy, ensuring there are no clumps.
  • In a large pitcher, combine 1 cup of freshly squeezed lemon juice with 1/2 cup of agave syrup. Stir well to dissolve the syrup completely.
  • Add the remaining 1 1/2 cups of filtered water to the lemon mixture, then pour in the prepared matcha tea. Stir gently to combine the flavors.
  • Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for about 20 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
  • To serve, fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the iced matcha lemonade over the ice. Top each glass with a splash of sparkling water for fizz.
  • Garnish each glass with lemon slices and a sprig of fresh mint for a refreshing finish.
