Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Houjicha tea leaves lightly roasted
  • 4 cups filtered water cold
  • 2 tablespoons agave syrup to sweeten
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract for flavor
  • 1 cup ice cubes for serving
  • 1 lemon fresh lemon slices for garnish
  • 1 sprig fresh mint for garnish

Instructions
 

  • In a large jar or pitcher, combine the Houjicha tea leaves and filtered water. Stir gently to ensure the leaves are submerged.
  • Cover the jar and let the mixture steep in the refrigerator for 25 minutes to extract the smoky flavors.
  • After steeping, strain the tea through a fine mesh sieve or a tea strainer to remove the leaves.
  • Stir in the agave syrup and vanilla extract until fully dissolved. Adjust sweetness according to taste.
  • To serve, fill glasses with ice cubes, pour the cold brew Houjicha over the ice, and garnish with fresh lemon slices and mint.
