Ingredients

1 lb raw shrimp, peeled and deveined

1 cup cabbage, finely shredded

2 green onions, chopped

2 garlic cloves, minced

1 tablespoon ginger, minced

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1 tablespoon sesame oil

1 teaspoon sugar

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon white pepper

1 package dumpling wrappers

Water, for sealing

Dipping sauce (soy sauce, chili oil, vinegar mix)

Instructions

Prepare the Filling: In a food processor, combine the shrimp, cabbage, green onions, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar, salt, and white pepper. Pulse until the mixture is well blended but still slightly chunky.

Assemble the Dumplings: Take a dumpling wrapper and place about a tablespoon of the shrimp filling in the center. Lightly moisten the edges with water. Fold the wrapper in half, pinching the edges to seal. You can create pleats along the edges for a decorative touch if desired. Repeat with remaining filling and wrappers.

      Cook the Dumplings:

        - Steaming Method: Place dumplings in a steamer basket lined with parchment paper. Steam over boiling water for about 6-8 minutes until the shrimp is opaque and the wrapper is translucent.

          - Pan-Frying Method: Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Add a little oil, then place the dumplings in the pan. Fry for 2-3 minutes until the bottom is golden brown. Add a splash of water, cover, and steam for another 4 minutes.

Serve: Serve the dumplings hot with your choice of dipping sauce.
