2 ripe pears, preferably Bosc or Anjou

1 tablespoon unsalted butter

2 tablespoons brown sugar

1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Salt, to taste

1 ball of fresh burrata cheese

4 cups arugula or mixed greens

¼ cup toasted walnuts, chopped

Honey, for drizzling

Fresh thyme leaves (optional, for garnish)

Instructions
 

Prepare the Pears: Start by washing the pears and slicing them vertically into 1/4-inch thick slices, while leaving them in their original shape held together at the bottom.

    Caramelize the Pears: In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Once melted, add the brown sugar, balsamic vinegar, ground cinnamon, and a pinch of salt. Stir until well combined and the mixture starts to bubble.

      Cook the Pears: Gently place the pear slices into the skillet, fanning them out slightly. Cook for about 5-7 minutes on one side, until they become golden and caramelized. Carefully flip the pears and cook for another 5-7 minutes until the other side is caramelized as well. Remove from heat and set aside.
