This garlic butter pan seared pork chops a flavorful delight is a simple dinner recipe made with everyday ingredients. Perfect for busy days and family meals.

Ingredients

2 bone-in pork chops (about 1 inch thick)

Salt and pepper, to taste

2 tablespoons olive oil

3 tablespoons unsalted butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon fresh rosemary, finely chopped (or 1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary)

1 teaspoon fresh thyme, finely chopped (or 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme)

Zest of 1 lemon

Juice of 1 lemon

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the Pork Chops: Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels. Season both sides generously with salt and pepper.

Heat the Skillet: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the olive oil. Allow it to heat until shimmering but not smoking.

Sear the Pork Chops: Carefully place the pork chops in the skillet. Sear without moving for about 4-5 minutes, until they develop a golden crust. Flip the chops and sear the other side for another 4-5 minutes.

Add Garlic and Herbs: Reduce the heat to medium. Add the butter, minced garlic, rosemary, and thyme to the skillet. As the butter melts, tilt the skillet slightly so that the melted butter pools on one side.

Baste the Chops: Using a spoon, continuously baste the pork chops with the melted garlic butter for about 2-3 minutes. This will infuse them with flavor and keep them moist.

Check for Doneness: Check the internal temperature of the pork chops with a meat thermometer; it should reach 145°F (63°C). If necessary, continue cooking for an additional minute or two.

Finish with Citrus: Remove the skillet from heat. Squeeze lemon juice over the pork chops and sprinkle with lemon zest for a fresh kick.

Rest and Serve: Let the pork chops rest for about 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with chopped parsley and drizzle any remaining garlic butter from the skillet over the top.
