Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 tablespoon baking powder

1 teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon baking soda

¾ cup buttermilk

6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

1 pound chicken tenders

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

½ teaspoon smoked paprika

1 tablespoon olive oil

½ cup hot honey (store-bought or homemade)

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Make the Biscuits:

    - Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

      - In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, salt, and baking soda. Mix well.

        - Pour in the melted butter and buttermilk. Stir until just combined. Do not overmix.

          - Turn the dough onto a floured surface and gently knead a few times until it comes together. Pat it into a rectangle about 1-inch thick.

            - Cut out biscuits using a biscuit cutter or a glass and place them on the prepared baking sheet. Gather and re-knead scraps to cut out more biscuits.

              - Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.

                Cook the Chicken:

                  - Season the chicken tenders with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and a pinch of salt.

                    - In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chicken and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden and cooked through.

                      - Remove the chicken from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes. Drizzle the hot honey over the chicken while it’s still warm.

                        Assemble the Biscuits:

                          - Slice the baked biscuits in half. Fill each biscuit with a generous piece of hot honey-glazed chicken.

                            - Drizzle additional hot honey over the top for extra sweetness if desired.

                              - Garnish with fresh chopped parsley before serving.
