Crostini with Different Toppings

This crostini with different toppings is a simple appetizers recipe made with everyday ingredients. Perfect for busy days and family meals.

Ingredients
  

For the Classic Tomato Basil Topping:

1 French baguette, sliced into 1/2 inch pieces

2 cups ripe cherry tomatoes, diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped

2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

Salt and pepper to taste

For the Creamy Goat Cheese and Fig Jam Topping:

8 oz goat cheese, softened

1/2 cup fig jam

1/4 cup chopped walnuts, toasted

Fresh thyme leaves for garnish

For the Avocado Smash and Radish Topping:

2 ripe avocados, pitted and peeled

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

1/4 teaspoon salt

4 radishes, thinly sliced

Microgreens or cilantro for garnish

Instructions
 

Prepare the Crostini:

    - Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

      - Arrange the baguette slices on a baking sheet. Brush each slice with olive oil and sprinkle with a pinch of salt.

        - Bake in the preheated oven for about 8-10 minutes or until golden and crisp. Remove and set aside to cool.

          Classic Tomato Basil Topping:

            - In a bowl, combine diced tomatoes, minced garlic, chopped basil, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Mix well.

              - Spoon a generous amount of the mixture atop each toasted baguette slice.

                Creamy Goat Cheese and Fig Jam Topping:

                  - Spread a layer of goat cheese on each crostini.

                    - Top with a dollop of fig jam and sprinkle with toasted walnuts.

                      - Garnish with fresh thyme leaves.

                        Avocado Smash and Radish Topping:

                          - In a bowl, mash the avocados with lemon juice, crushed red pepper, and salt.

                            - Spoon the avocado mixture onto the crostini and add a couple of thin radish slices on top.

                              - Finish with a sprinkle of microgreens or cilantro for color.

                                Serving:

                                  - Arrange all three types of crostini on a serving platter. Serve immediately and enjoy the delightful flavors!
