8 oz elbow macaroni

4 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded

2 cups Gruyère cheese, shredded

1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

4 cups whole milk

1/2 cup unsalted butter

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

1/2 tsp smoked paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

1 cup breadcrumbs (store-bought or homemade)

2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions
 

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

    Cook the Pasta: In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the elbow macaroni and cook until al dente, about 7-8 minutes. Drain and set aside.

      Make the Cheese Sauce: In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Whisk in the flour and cook for about 2 minutes to form a roux. Slowly whisk in the milk, continuing to whisk until the mixture thickens (about 5-7 minutes).

        Add Spices and Cheese: Stir in the garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Gradually add the sharp cheddar, Gruyère, and mozzarella cheeses, stirring until melted and smooth.

          Combine Pasta and Sauce: Add the cooked macaroni to the cheese sauce, mixing well to coat the pasta evenly.

            Prepare for Baking: Transfer the mac and cheese to a greased 9x13 inch baking dish. Top with grated Parmesan cheese and sprinkle with breadcrumbs.

              Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes or until the top is golden and bubbly.

                Garnish and Serve: Remove from the oven, let it sit for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
