Cookie Monster Cinnamon Rolls with Oreo Crumble

This cookie monster cinnamon rolls with oreo crumble is a simple dinner recipe made with everyday ingredients. Perfect for busy days and family meals.

Ingredients
  

4 cups all-purpose flour

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast

1 cup warm milk (110°F)

1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

2 large eggs

1/2 tsp salt

Filling:

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

1 cup brown sugar, packed

2 tbsp ground cinnamon

1 cup crushed Oreo cookies

Icing:

1 cup powdered sugar

2 tbsp milk

1 tsp vanilla extract

1/2 cup mini chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions
 

Prepare the Dough: In a large bowl, combine warm milk and sugar. Sprinkle yeast over the milk and let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until foamy.

    Mix Ingredients: Add melted butter, eggs, and salt to the yeast mixture and stir. Gradually add flour, one cup at a time, mixing until you form a dough. Knead on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.

      Let It Rise: Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until it doubles in size.

        Prepare the Filling: In a small bowl, mix softened butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon until combined. Spread this mixture evenly over the rolled-out dough. Sprinkle crushed Oreos on top.

          Roll and Cut: Roll the dough tightly into a log and cut into 12 equal rolls. Place them in a greased baking dish, cover with a cloth, and let them rise again for about 30 minutes.

            Bake the Rolls: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the rolls in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.

              Prepare the Icing: In a bowl, mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth. If desired, stir in mini chocolate chips.

                Serve: Drizzle the icing over the warm cinnamon rolls. Optionally, garnish with more crushed Oreos on top for added crunch and cookie goodness.
