Cloud Nine Egg White Omelette: A Light and Fluffy Delight

This cloud nine egg white omelette: a light and fluffy delight is a simple breakfast recipe made with everyday ingredients. Perfect for busy days and family meals.

Ingredients

4 large egg whites

1 tablespoon of low-fat milk

Salt and pepper to taste

1/4 cup chopped bell peppers (red, yellow, or green)

1/4 cup chopped fresh spinach

1/4 cup diced tomatoes

1/4 cup finely shredded low-fat cheese (optional)

Fresh herbs for garnish (chives or parsley)

Cooking spray or olive oil for the pan

Instructions

In a mixing bowl, whisk the egg whites, low-fat milk, salt, and pepper until frothy. This will help create a fluffy texture.

Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and lightly coat it with cooking spray or a drizzle of olive oil.

Add the chopped bell peppers and sauté for 2-3 minutes until they start to soften.

Pour the whisked egg whites into the skillet and let them cook undisturbed for about 2 minutes.

Once the edges start to set, gently lift them with a spatula and tilt the skillet to allow any uncooked egg white to flow to the edge.

When the top is mostly set but still slightly runny, sprinkle the spinach, diced tomatoes, and cheese (if using) over one half of the omelette.

Carefully fold the other half of the omelette over the filling using a spatula.

Cook for another minute or until the cheese is melted (if added) and the inside is fully cooked but still moist.

Slide the omelette onto a plate and garnish with fresh herbs before serving.
