Ingredients

8 oz linguine pasta

1 tbsp olive oil

1/2 lb ground beef

1/2 lb Italian sausage, casings removed

4 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 cup unsalted butter (1 stick)

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Salt and pepper to taste

1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Cook the Pasta: In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the linguine according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain and set aside.

Brown the Meats: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef and sausage, breaking them up with a spoon. Cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.

Add Garlic: Stir in the minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.

Make the Sauce: Reduce the heat to low, then add the butter to the skillet. Once melted, pour in the heavy cream, stirring constantly until combined.

Cheese It Up: Add the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese to the skillet. Stir until the cheeses melt and the sauce becomes creamy. If the sauce is too thick, add reserved pasta water a little at a time until desired consistency is reached.

Combine Everything: Add the cooked linguine to the skillet with the creamy sauce. Toss gently to combine and coat the pasta well. Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using) to taste.

Serve: Garnish your cheesy garlic butter linguine with chopped parsley for a fresh touch. Serve immediately and enjoy the deliciousness!
