Ingredients

1 lb Italian sausage (casings removed)

1 head of broccoli, cut into florets

1 medium head of cauliflower, cut into florets

2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup cream cheese, softened

1 cup heavy cream

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/2 cup breadcrumbs (optional for topping)

1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a large skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil and crumble in the sausage. Cook until browned and fully cooked, approximately 5-7 minutes. Drain excess grease if necessary.

Stir in the garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Combine well and remove the skillet from heat.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese and heavy cream until smooth. Add in 1 cup of the shredded cheddar cheese, mixing it in until evenly incorporated.

Add the cooked sausage mixture, broccoli, and cauliflower florets to the bowl. Stir until all the ingredients are well combined and coated in the cheese mixture.

Transfer the mixture to a greased 9x13 inch casserole dish, spreading it out evenly.

Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese and grated Parmesan cheese over the top. If using breadcrumbs, sprinkle those as well for an added crunch.

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.

Let the casserole cool for about 5-10 minutes before slicing and serving.
