Ingredients

1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced against the grain

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon oyster sauce

1 tablespoon cornstarch

2 tablespoons vegetable oil (divided)

2 cloves garlic, minced

1-inch piece ginger, grated

1 red bell pepper, sliced

1 cup broccoli florets

1 cup snap peas

½ cup carrots, julienned

3 green onions, chopped

Cooked jasmine rice for serving

Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

In a mixing bowl, lightly marinate the beef slices with soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch. Let it sit for about 15 minutes to tenderize and absorb flavors.

Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat. Once the oil is shimmering, add the marinated beef in batches, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until browned and cooked through. Remove the beef and set it aside.

In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil. Toss in the minced garlic and grated ginger; sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

Add the sliced bell pepper, broccoli florets, snap peas, and carrots to the pan. Stir-fry the vegetables for about 4-5 minutes until they are vibrant in color and slightly tender but still crisp.

Return the cooked beef to the skillet, mixing well with the vegetables. Add in the chopped green onions and stir everything together for an additional 2 minutes.

Serve the beef stir fry over a bed of fluffy jasmine rice. Garnish with sesame seeds for an added crunch.
